The streets of Prague are again singing again

On Monday, June 5, after the fourth birth, thanks to the original project Singing the Prague Street and Square, tones, harmony, dancing rhythms and vocal music in many forms.

"A magical musical instrument sounding by the passers-by" this time we will find in squares of Peace Square, Tyl Square, Anděl, Jungmann Square and Hradčanské. Groups singing under the guidance of experienced musicians offer pedestrians a few minutes of exiting from everyday hustle and bustle - in the middle of a hurrying street, they are invited to stop for a moment, sit down on ready chairs, and get vocalists singing for them - and for free - singing Selected song or song. "I think that music is sharing and joy, and so we try to live at Prague's streets at least occasionally, and they are not just a place where our lives are mechanically carried out in the rushing impersonal tempo of our everyday worries, but also the meeting place," says the author Project Ridina Ahmed.

As a lecturer of musical enthusiasts who will be singing in Prague, this year Petr Vaša, a singer, songwriter, performer and experimenter En.Dru , with his own name Ondřej Havlík , a phenomenal beatboxer, singer and vocal improviser. Experienced singer and lecturer is also Antonie Nyass , member of the Yellow Sisters and conductor of the project Rivers, a remarkable singer from the jazz and soul Mirka Novak and the Brno percussionist, singer and player of the African instrument of kora Jiří Bouda .

Ridina Ahmed has long been working with a human voice not only as an excellent author and performer (remember her fascinating rapport with Bobby McFerrin at his first appearance in the Czech Republic) but also in a broader context as a sought after and successful lecturer and founder of Hlashodledu. At present, together with bassist Petr Tichy, he is working on the project HLASkontraBAS, the album of the same name was nominated for the Andel 2016 award in the world music category.

Singing on the first Monday of June again goes beyond the "educated" audience and offers the pleasure of a human voice to the general public.
