The Dragon Boats on the Vltava River are already under the twenties! Looking for an interesting program for the second May weekend? Come to the Prague Yellow Baths and enjoy the fun! On May 13 and 14, 2017, the jubilee 20th edition of the Dragon Boat Festival is held here, as well as the 2nd Stand Up Paddle. Come and see how the racers with non-traditional craft will advise.

The official launch of the festival with the ceremony of waking up the dragon is after the first race block on Saturday around 12 o'clock. An interesting program will not be missed even by celebrities who, by their sporting performances, will support a good thing.

The Prague Dragon Boat Festival is the oldest race of its kind in the Czech Republic.
This year will celebrate the round twentieth birthday. The event will involve sports, amateur and corporate crews on both standard and small ships. The race will be on a 2-km or 200-meter sprint. There was also a race for children and youth in cooperation with the Muse for Children organization.

For beginner amateur teams a special ROTARY DRAGON BOAT CHARITY CHALLENGE is prepared . As the title suggests, this race has a 200-meter charity subtext. It will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, and all racing crews will contribute to charity. Last year, the yield was almost half a million crowns. The organizers believe that this amount can overcome this year. In the race will be shown also crews of children from children's homes whose VIP patrons will become famous personalities. You can look forward to Ljuba Krbova (five-time winner of the children's racing boat), David Novotny, Simon Vrbicka, Luci Juřickova, Martin Zahálka and others. A rich accompanying program with fun activities for children will be prepared.

Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoons will be marked by top sport. The event is part of the Dragon Boat National Cup, so we can look forward to the top crews from Bohemia and Moravia. International teams from Slovakia, Germany, Austria, and even from far China will also participate in the tournament.

Part of the festival program will be the Paddleboard Race Prague SUP Race for the second time. The race is part of the Czech Cup SUP and at the same time qualifies at this year's MS in Denmark in the category Elite on the marathon track. In the Yellow Spots, however, incoming can also be involved in racing. The Hobby category is ready for half a track of 5 kilometers.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Prague 4 district, you can also borrow on-site boards and, under the supervision of experienced instructors, you can try paddling on the Vltava river. Another specialty will be a megaboard ride for 6-8 people. Last year, Eva Samkova, Olympic snowboard winner or skipasser Tomas Kraus tried it. Do not miss this great opportunity!
