90% of cases of skin cancer from the sun, the children burn it in 5 minutes

Melanoma is one by the news about the health of the population of the Czech Republic from 2014 between the type of cancer that have both male and female bullish trend occurring. For men, the last 10 years there has been a growth of up to 15.4% for women then by 11.9%.

The negative trend is even sadder that the incidence of melanoma people may often themselves be preceded by an increase in skin protection from harmful solar radiation.
And what about the Czech children, whose skin is crisp sun more sensitive than the adult? How can parents about skin care for the smallest and prepare it for the summer, which is just around the corner?

UVC rays are the most dangerous

Solar radiation is the basic energy source for processes occurring in the atmosphere and the earth's surface. Traditionally distinguish three basic types of radiation: ultraviolet, which we will dedicate, visible and infrared. Ultraviolet solar radiation having a wavelength less than 390 nm, and a considerable part of it holds ozone in the stratosphere. It is well known that the amount of ultraviolet light depends on the altitude - the higher one is located, the greater. Important components of UV radiation are the components of UVA and UVB, which are indispensable for the production of vitamin D in organisms of all life on Earth. Simultaneously, however, they are also responsible for sunburn, causing, inter alia, a greater risk of skin cancer and premature skin aging. The third component of the UV radiation, abbreviated to UVC has the highest energy from all three components and is therefore the most dangerous. But for now it is not given much attention, because basically passes through the atmosphere.

Children's skin is more sensitive than the adult

Although sunlight is essential for human life, and many people today underestimate the risks. At the first sign of warm weather without any protection exposed to the rays of the gardens, balconies and poolside. On vacation at sea, then for sure you pack maximum protection factor of 10, to then after a week returned home with the color of the skin, which from a distance shining like red stop sign at a traffic light. But every skin burning stores and remembers him well. An even worse situation then occurs in children who have the skin more sensitive and vulnerable than their parents. Very quickly, it will develop and also easily reacts to irritating stimuli, changes in temperature or humidity. So how to protect children's skin?

Penetrates through clouds of radiation up to 90%

Ultraviolet solar radiation is the strongest at a time at noon, about 10 to 14 hours. At this time, because a small child rather expose to the sun. Either keep it in the cool shade, which reduces the intensity of UV radiation by up to half, or prefer to stay with him after that time at home. Attention also put in an overcast sky - despite the clouds because babies can penetrate the skin up to 90% of solar radiation. "In the first year of life the child's skin is most susceptible and sensitive to stimuli from the external environment. Even at 3 years, which is the age in which the skin is the most developed, does not protect the body in the extent to which it provides already developed mature skin. Her coat had a different structure, "says dermatologist Dr.. Thomas Kampe.

Their skin to the sun defends itself just 5 minutes

According to experts, more than 90% of cases of skin cancer caused by sun exposure, against which the individual does not protect or insufficiently protected. Sensitive children's skin additionally provides natural protection to the child only about the first 5 minutes, then already at risk of sunburn. For comparison, an adult human skin and darker hair gives the skin a natural protection to 40 minutes. Especially in the summer, so parents would have a special care baby skin. "Parents for their children should use a sunscreen with a high protection factor, SPF 50. ideal for sensitive skin are ideal ones that also contain aloe vera. This cream just baby skin paint 30 minutes before tanning and then during the day repeated several times. Ideally, every two hours, "says MD. Kampe.
