Avishai Cohen , a bass player, songwriter, vocalist and bandmaster, returns to his trio again
to the Czech Republic. It's been 13 years since he first introduced the Prague audience. This genius jazz artist is known to be happy to return to the Czech basin, and the local listeners always accept it with open arms. This year he will arrive just before Christmas to make his Forum Karlín known.

All night will open Dan Bárta & Robert Balzar Trio . This favorite Czech jazz scene, linked with the multi-genre singer and author Dan Bárta, is the perfect blend of a unique musical experience. With their performances, this extraordinary concert will add another dimension of jazz sophistication.

Over the past two decades Avishai Cohen has gained the reputation of one of the world's leading bass players. Israeli native completed his influence on the world music scene as a composer with an unmistakable musical style.

In the Fora Karlín, he will perform on 21st December to listen to the latest songs with current arrangements as well as many favorite tracks from recordings and albums of recent years. Cohen's stage is accompanied by the fresh face of contemporary jazz, pianist and composer Omri Mor . The drums will include creative and distinctive Noam David , a drummer whose opulent style has greatly influenced Israeli music.

This is a unique encounter between the Czech and Israeli jazz environments. In one evening on the podium, two strong trios will be replaced; on the one hand Avishai Cohen, opposite Dan Bárta and bassist Robert Balzar, Avishai Cohen, highly regarded as a gifted and imaginative composer, is one of the best live bassists. At the same time, he is also an excellent singer, pushing the boundaries of the musical form even further.
