DANCERS directed by Stephanie Di Giusto entering Czech cinemas Engrossing biographical drama about pioneer of modern dance filmed in the Czech-French co-production was first presented at Cannes, where it was situated in the prestigious competition Un Certain Regard section. To enter Czech cinemas on January 19.

The sneak preview was a dancer presented in November 2016 as the opening shot of the Festival of French films in 2016, with the participation of director Stephanie Di Giusto.

The debut feature directed by Stephanie Di Giusto returned to Paris late 20th century, when the dancer Loie Fuller Folies Bergere cabaret star. The main role of the film shows French actress and singer Soko (real name Stephanie Sokolinski). Its competitor Isadora Duncan will play Lily-Rose Depp in the lead male role introduces Gaspard Ulliel (known roles from major movie roles Saint Laurent or the film The Art of Love).

About the film

About the director

The director and photographer Stéphanie Di Giusto began as a writer clips inventive and novel artists like Camille, Brigitte Fontaine, Sliimy and Jarvis Rocker. He collaborated with the designer Vanessa Bruno, for which he made three short films, full of poetic images with a young French film icon Lou Doillon. Stéphanie is also collaborating with print media, the photographs appear mainly in magazines Vogue, Elle and Purple Magazine.
In 2016 she made her first film Dancer (La danseuse), in which they play Soko, Gaspard Ulliel, Mélanie Thierry and Lily-Rose Depp. Full-length picture had been very well received by critics and audiences at Cannes 2016, when after the screening followed by a "standing ovation".

The film was made in the French-Czech-Belgian co-production, in which the Czech side was represented by Sirena Film with producer Artemio Benkim. He has to his credit among other successful coproduction Marguerite director Xavier Giannoli that it has brought to cinemas in the autumn of 2015. The film won four Marguerite French César film awards including the award for the Czech artist Martin Kurel, and was shown at the Venice festival.
