Ziggy Marley introduces the new album Rebellion Rises to Colors of Ostrava

The eight-time Grammy winner, the reggae icon Ziggy Marley, releases a new studio album. Behind the album titled Rebellion Rises, Marley is both author and producer. The album is an appetite for community, activism and love and was released on May 18 under Marley's Tuff Gong Worldwide label.

"All rebellion has its origin in the human mind, melody and music. Rebellion is conscious. Once we realize its potential and our own awareness begins to spread, we too will grow, " comments the Marley message. His flagship bearer is the very first single singer that bears the same name as the entire album - Rebellion Rises. Marley calls on the listener to force all the power and power they have to make positive changes in the world.

Rebellion Rises comes out after a two-year break, Marley's latest studio album was awarded in 2016 by GRAMMY in the best reggae album category. In connection with the release of the Rebellion Rises, Marley goes on a tour of the West Coast of the US to move to Europe. In the Czech Republic, the album will be presented at the Colors of Ostrava festival on 21 July. "The better in us must not let the dark win," Marley adds to her thirteenth plate.

Overall, the festival, which runs July 18 to 21 in a unique industrial complex in Ostrava Lower Vítkovice, offers 21 outdoor and indoor stages over 350 points program - concerts, theater, workshops, discussions in international fora Meltingpot, films and art events.
