Volbeat - Danish Shine on Rock for People

The Danish heavy metal band Volbeat is the newest line-up of the Rock for People line-up, which will take place from 4 to 6 July 2018.

Michael Poulsen's popular band around the frontman regularly hosts the biggest European festivals, such as Rock im Park, Nova Rock and Graspop, and this summer culminates with Rock for People on Friday. It joins the previously announced bands like The Prodigy, The Kooks, Sugar Man, Rodriguez, Beatsteaks, Skillet, In This Moment, Marmozets, Stick To Your Guns, Blossoms and more.

Volbeat is a band that has decided to ignore the music boundaries and the preconceptions about the musical styles, their rarity being a combination of Roccabilla, Metal and the original rock & roll Elvis Presley or Johnny Cashe. Thanks to this, Grammy received the nomination for "Room 24" in the "Best Metal Performance" category in 2014 and sold over 2,800,000 albums. "I saw them two years ago at the German Rock im Park, which was headed by Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Black Sabbath. It's a phenomenon and their popularity in Europe is huge - at the time of their set, the other stages were half-empty, all of them had to see Volbeat! " Says Rock for People boss Michal Thomes.

Rock for People is not just a three-day musical marathon, and visitors also have a rich accompanying program from sports and adrenaline to fashionable to chill out zones. Of course there is a quality backdrop and service for visitors, which draws on more than 20 years of experience.

Volbeat

Volbeat joined together in 2001 in the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. Singer and guitarist Michael Poulsen played first in the death metal band Dominus, but after some time, the death metal scene was full of teeth and the band broke down. Poulsen and Volbeat founded several friends and other former teammates. After all, the name of the band is based on the name of the third album Dominus. Over the years, they have gone through several changes in staff, including two co-founding members - Michael Poulsen and drummer Jon Larsen , then guitarist Rob Caggiano (ex Anthrax) and bass player Kaspar Boy Larsen . They have a total of six albums, the latest being Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie in 2016.
