Allergy to red meat or avocado? Yes, it is possible!

Milk, eggs, shellfish, peanuts, wheat and soybeans. These are common food allergens that are harmful to many people. Equally annoying problems but they rarely cause foods to which you would not expect. What are they?

1. The red meat

Beef, lamb or pork can cause allergic reactions very rarely. Symptoms usually develop until 3-6 hours after a meal, which can reveal this sensitivity considerably difficult. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, itching, rash, sneezing, runny nose or asthma. This type of allergy in recent years also employed scientists. In one study, it was revealed that people with this problem have had a positive reaction to alpha-galactosidase (enzyme that metabolizes naturally troubled food ingredients) and most of them in the past was bitten by a tick.

Avocado allergy is associated with sensitivity to latex. This is so because the proteins present in avocados are similar to those of natural rubber latex. People allergic to latex, therefore, may also have an unpleasant reaction to papaya, bananas or kiwi. For several minutes after ingestion may experience itching of the mouth, lips or throat and swelling of the lips, sneezing, difficulty breathing or hives.


3rd Hot dog

It is made of comprehensively processed meat containing many additives. Allergic reaction may cause either of them. Most often it is a nitrogen compound or a yellow dye, which is called tartrazine. Hypersensitivity usually manifests hives, swelling and asthma.


4th Dried fruit and vegetables

Unwanted response to dried fruit caused by the presence of sulphites are used as preservatives. It may show swelling of the face, mouth and tongue, anaphylactic reaction, urticaria, or fever. Allergies dried fruit can be associated with allergy to wine, different kinds of vinegar, fruits and vegetables in cans and other canned foods.

Treatment of allergies are rare from the usual very different. Most important allergen in food consistently avoided as to cause difficulties even just a small amount. It is therefore very important to study the purchase of food composition. Indeed allergens may be present in small quantities in places where you would not expect. Mild problems can usually be controlled by antihistamines, anaphylactic reaction subsides after the administration of adrenaline - you can use an adrenaline auto-injector or call an ambulance.
