Vocal Event in Prague: Workshop with The King's Singers

The King's Singers, one of the most vocal ensembles, the double holders of the prestigious Grammy® arrives in Prague at the invitation of the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir. Introduces himself twice: at the gala concert at the Rudolfinum 25. 2. and a day earlier, when the public will have an extraordinary opportunity to experience the world's ensemble close to the workshop at the New Town Hall.

The King's Singers concerts annually throughout the world hundreds of thousands of spectators. In February 2017 přibyde their concert calendar also in Prague, where he twice presented at the invitation of the Prague Philharmonic Children's Choir, the oldest and largest children's choir in the Czech Republic that this vocal project will begin its 85th season.

The ensemble will spend two days in Prague.
And besides gala concert on Saturday 25th second at the Rudolfinum public will have the opportunity to experience this wonderful ensemble also close in the workshop, which will be held on Friday, 24. 2. 18:30 in the Great Hall of the New Town Hall.

Before the public part of the workshop will be selected from 17h choirs the opportunity to work with individual members of the sextet. 18:30 begins in the Great Hall of the portion open to the general public, to present the various choirs their work with members of the ensemble The King's Singers are closer to his own artistic practice: repertoire, testing methods, experiences from the world stage, together with musical examples. And, of course, will be a space for joint debate.

The King's Singers are unmistakable for its color, absolutely precise intonation and entertainers are also perfect with typical British humor. Will that really something to look forward to.

The workshop is organized in cooperation with the New Town Hall.

Kühn Children's Choir
(est. 1932) is today one of the leading Czech ensembles, known not only in Europe, but no longer on all five continents. With its unique sound has conquered the prestigious choir concert halls around the world from the USA to Australia. During its existence he has trained thousands of talented children and teach them love for music and the arts. Its tradition and spread his artistic engagement is a unique artistic institution of its kind in the Czech Republic but also in Europe.

The King's Singers
have a tradition that dates back to 1968, when this set was based at King's College, Cambridge. In June 2013 they were for his efforts and many years of inspiration selected among the only two vocal ensembles in the world that have joined the "Gramophone Hall of Fame." Their repertoire is very wide and concerts performed songs from the classical Renaissance madrigals to contemporary music, and do not avoid nor jazz, spirituals or edit folk music of different nations. They are in the best sense of global artists at the top level, which appeal to a wide audience around the world.
