Philip Catherine & AMC Trio, Belgian-Slovak jazz in Prague Philip Catherine is a Belgian jazz guitarist who is considered the founder of the Belgian jazz. He is the bearer of the Belgian Golden Django Award (1995), which was awarded as the best francophone artist.

Along with Philip Catherine will present Presov AMC Trio. Common careers of these three musicians began in 1993 when as a novice musicians decided to participate in the competition for young jazz groups and started rehearsing repertoire. On the same competition and won one of the main prizes and it was for them an excellent start. Gradually AMC Trio focuses exclusively on the interpretation of the original music, under which it is signed by all members.

In his compositions, often goes beyond jazz ingrained practices and extends beyond mimojazzových music sources. We place great emphasis on melodic songs and their distinctive motif processing. AMC Trio music draws on the diversity and elegant melodiousness presented themes inspired for example, popular music, or melodies from the folklore of the East.

AMC Trio
is one leader trio but the trio of three equal members, whose mutual differences connects into a balanced whole. Trio during its existence, cooperated with many guests. He performs at home and abroad. Collaboration with guitar legend Philip Catherine, with whom will perform again after 16 months performing in Prague, was opened in 2013.
